Tikkaway Grill, a restaurant serving up quick and healthy Indian food on the go, needed to furnish their New Haven and Boston Seaport locations with designs as natural as their meals. Hugo & Hoby worked with the founder and architecture/design team Prellwitz Chilinski Associates to develop modern, durable and sustainable seating that aligned with Tikkaway's mission.
At Tikkaway, the mission and values are just as important as the food itself. Says Tikkaway founder, Gopi Nair, "the food you eat shouldn't just fill you up; it should fill you with happiness!" Hugo & Hoby’s Butcher Block Cafe Tables use White Ash salvaged from and handcrafted in Northern Vermont. Tikkaway's logo is burned into the wood of each table top with a custom branding iron.
The simple White Ash End Grain Stools feature finger joints that create a unique and natural aesthetic to fit with the ethos of Tikkaway Grill - creating a space that serves delicious food and brings communities together around the table, fosters positive energy, and genuine happiness.
